My Breaking Point

Blog Single

Are you at the point where you question, am I praying enough? Or am I praying the right prayers? But yet you can't get yourself to pray more or change up your prayers because you know deep down it's not about the type of prayer or the length of prayer anymore?

Are you at the point where you question am I doing the right thing? Am I on the right path? But then you realize that you are doing your best and you don't have to be perfect?

Are you at the point where you question, am I hearing God right? Did I hear Him clearly? Did I misinterpret what I thought I heard? Is it all in my head? Am I making things up based on my own desires and wants?

Are you at the point where you are afraid and desire more than anything that indeed you are hearing God clearly or you heard Him correctly, more than you even now desire the miracle you prayed for?

Are you at the moment where hearing God clearly becomes more important to you than the thing you prayed for? Because you feel or know deep in your heart that your relationship with God or the strength of your faith or the ability for you to continue to seek after intimacy with the Holy Spirit depends on it? If this is you, then you are not alone!

Yes! That's the point I'm at right now as I write this. I find myself praying, “Lord let every man and everything be a lie but You remain true.” “Lord please don't make me out to be a hypocrite.” “Lord please let my life reflect what I preach.” “If not then Lord please don't send me because I don't want to be a liar, a hypocrite, a false preacher of Your Word.” I don’t want to be someone who preaches the Word but their life does not reflect it.” “I would rather be mediocre (ok maybe not mediocre) than to go around preaching Your Word but my life does not reflect it.” “Lord, you know my heart.”

After my prayer, I came across a prophetic word that resonated so much with my spirit. It almost felt like it was directly for me. I knew it was God speaking to me and answering me. The answer comforted my soul and gave me peace.

So if you are like me and you found yourself in this same position, or maybe in the future if you find yourself at this point, then I want you to do the same thing I did, which is take it to God in prayer . Talk to Him, asking Him to minister to your soul. Ask Him all the questions you have and wait for a response from Him because He will surely respond to you. Mind you, the response may not come on the same day or the same week but be on the lookout for it; remain alert because though it may tarry, it will surely come. With the response comes peace and rest for your weary soul. Scripture says

“come unto me all you who are weary and heavily burdened and I will give you rest for your souls” (See Matthew 11:28)

And Hebrews 4:3 in the Amplified version says

“For we who believe [that is, we who personally trust and confidently rely on God] enter that rest [so we have His inner peace now because we are confident in our salvation, and assured of His power]”.

It further says that this rest was ready since the foundation of the world, waiting for us who would believe.

So believe in the Lord and believe His Word. In times like this, remind yourself that everything God said and has promised you is yes and amen; and God is true to His word. He is faithful to keep His promises. The bible says after you have done all you know to do, just stand! Stand and behold God and He will see you through.

“Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious]” Ephesians 6:13 AMP.

So be encouraged today friend and remember, keep your hope in God for He loves you unconditionally and has promised to never leave you nor forsake you!
