Want to grow in life? Want to excel to new levels in life? Looking for wisdom to make that important decision? Looking to know what your Creator has said and purposed about you? Well there is one place where you can find an answer to all those questions plus more. It is time to dig deeper into the Word of God.

Two scriptures that tells us about the power in the Word of God:

2 Timothy 3:16 (AMP): “All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage].”
Hebrews 4:12 (AMP): “For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
7 Ways

Now get a pen and paper and write down these 7 tips that will help you go deeper into God’s Word

Here we go:

  1. Hear the Word: we hear the Word by listening to Sermons, listening to audio bible, listening to someone preach or teach the Word.
  2. Read the Word: actually open the Bible and read it for yourself. Sometimes we can read the Word in other Christian books, blogs, posts, and other write ups. However, the best way to read the Word is by reading your Bible.
  3. Study the Word:you can use bible commentaries, dictionary, and concordance to gain deeper meaning or insight into what you are studying. Most importantly, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the hidden meaning of the Word and how it applies to your life or current situation.
  4. Memorize the Word: it can just be one verse. Memorize it so you can meditate on it throughout the day. You can write the verse down on sticky notes or index cards for easy accessibility.
  5. Meditate on the Word: this means just think about the Word throughout the day. Keep it in the forefront of your mind and let it play continuously through your mind.
  6. Obey the Word: do whatever the Word tells you to do especially if the Holy Spirit revealed or gave you specific instructions during your Bible reading/study time. Remember, obedience is better than sacrifice ( see 1 Samuel 15:22).
  7. Share the Word: share the word and spread the love. Encourage someone else with what you read and with any revelation you received. You never know whose life you may greatly impact with what you have to share.

Just a reminder from the bible itself:

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful” Joshua 1:8 (AMP).

I pray that this has blessed you one way or the other!

So until next time, remember, keep your hope in God for He loves you unconditionally and has promised to never leave you nor forsake you!
